Ideas for further thought and discussion
1. How will our resurrection bodies reflect both continuity and discontinuity with our lives in this world?
2. Does 2 Peter 3 teach annihilation or renewal? And what difference would that make for “the work of our hands” (p63)?
3. If we argue that 2 Peter 3 says little about the way in which our work and our cultural achievements survive into the new creation, does that mean that life in the present doesn’t matter? How else does the Bible encourage us to see that all of life matters to God?
4. What does the “unending Sabbath to come” mean for our weekly worship?
