Ideas for further thought and discussion
1. In your evangelism, how often do you find yourself speaking about justification or at least the concepts behind it (God’s justice, our sin, his free forgiveness and the gift of a righteousness that is not our own)? Do you recognise the challenges Steve describes? What else would you add?
2. Do we have to explain the gospel in this way? Why not use the imagery of rescue from slavery or adoption? What would we gain? What would we lose? And how do we decide what to go for?
